Marianne Welten was born in 1963 in Heemstede, The Netherlands. After highschool she studied for her bachelors degree in Information Management and experienced the early years of computing at the headquartes of a country wide operating employment agency.
Since some years now she works for an IT company that specializes in software and services for the employment business. Not until her fourties she 'came out of the closet' and since a few years she's active in Mirre, network for lesbians women, faith and spirituality, among other things as one of the editors of the newsletter.
She translated a selection of more than 30 stories form the book Let Our Voices Be Heard! into Dutch. This selection is published in 2010 as Hoor onze stem!
